Homeopathy is a system of medicine which assists the natural capacity of the body to heal itself. Homeos meaning “similar”, pathos meaning “suffering” - homeopathy works by the Law of Similars, that like cures like. This means that illness and disease are treated with Homeopathic substances that cause similar symptoms in healthy people.

Homeopathic medicine harnesses the frequency of natural substances to stimulate the body's own healing mechanism (vital force). Homeopathic medicines act to stimulate a healing response in the body by way of it's similarity to the existing complaint. For example, onions cause the eyes to water and a runny nose. Homeopathic medicine Allium Cepa, made from onion, is used to treat a person with allergies experiencing watery eyes and clear nasal discharge. When a person's vital force is stimulated and strengthened, there is positive change to their physical, mental and emotional health. Homeopathy recognises that all symptoms of ill health are expressions of disharmony, and that it is the whole patient that needs treatment, not just ‘the disease’.

Homeopathy was established in 1796 by Medical Doctor Samuel Hahnemann and has been used as a natural form of medicine for the past 200 + years. The World Health Organisation states that Homeopathy is the second largest system of medicine in the world.

The Homeopathic Philosophy
“The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of the health or removal and annihilation of the disease in its whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable and most harmless way on easily comprehensible principles”.
~ Samuel Hahnemann, founder of Homeopathy.
